LOOKING FORWARD TO 2007

As the 2006 Education photography approaches its quieter months, requests for Ian's photography have already started for 2007. Everyone talks about 'Spring' but please bear in mind that the Spring Terms have fewer time opportunities than the Fall. Interior photography can be done in January/February before Spring Break and with exams and graduation coming soon after there is a smaller window for students' attention if all photography is left until March/April. Last year several Colleges and Universities successfully booked shoots in January as they did not want 'buds on trees' pictures. This made life easier to manage. In 2007 with an increase in clients on the West Coast and in the South, we would ask clients to try to avoid the peak period of March/April if they do not want exterior photography. This helps us to avoid having to turn down clients because of lack of time available. Forward planning is a great help. This Fall we had to turn down one or two of our regular clients because requests were left so late that there were no days available for us.
